Baseball Decor

Hit a home run in your boy’s baseball bedroom!

Take your baseball bedroom to the big leagues with some really great baseball decor pieces. Art for the walls, rugs for the floor, banks for the shelf – there’s something to fit the theme for every surface in the room.

Among my favorites are the pieces of artwork, usually with a nice vintage feel to them like the piece in the picture here. The colors are nicely muted and just have that nice gritty been at the ballpark air. I just feel like I’m at the park during the days when the game seemed more innocent when looking at them. But if you prefer, there are a lot of sharp items as well that have more of a modern, clean feel to them.

One challenge with all the brown and blue and green is if you’re trying to decorate the bedroom to go with a specific team. Some of these pieces are really cool, but wouldn’t match if the rest of the room is black and orange for the Giants or the turquoise of the Marlins. In those cases, try to stick with pieces that are fairly neutral like the white of the ball or the wood of the bat.

Because of the round shape of the ball, there are quite a few obvious decor options like clocks and mirrors that take their cue there. But also some that play off the field or the bats instead. Consider using a mix of them around the room rather than focusing on just one element.

Clocks, mirrors and more

Add a few of these to the walls and you’ve got a great start to the theme. Definitely work in combination with pennants of a favorite team or maybe the entire league. What’s a baseball room without a few pennants?

TOPPS Tin Baseball Signs

Ultimate for the card collector

I got a box of TOPPS cards for my high school graduation. (Seriously. Still have them.) But they’re nowhere near as old and vintage as these signs with designs from back in the 50s. The color palette is pretty limited on them, making them perfect to fit into a more muted scheme.

Classy alternatives to team posters

Not that there’s anything wrong with team posters, mind you. In fact, you should definitely encourage your child to have a few with their favorite players. (Great item to take when you have the opportunity to go to a signing day!) But these pieces of canvas art add some class with the great designs. Again, a lot of the Oopsy Daisy designs work with the vintage style while emphasizing different elements of the game.

Baseball Decor for the Floor

Play ball with these rugs

You could consider going with a solid green or brown on the floor to mimic a playing field, actually. Far less expensive and easily changed to a different theme down the road. Still, there is much to be said for the beauty of these pieces, especially the big Nuloom one shown first.

Baseball Lights and Lamps

Brighten up that stadium, er bedroom

Can’t see the pitch coming without good lighting. Pick up some in various forms for your kid’s baseball bedroom theme. Designs using balls, gloves and bats, of course, but even the diamond itself, like in the pendant fixture in the picture here.

Because there are so many individual elements to this game, this is a good place to emphasize one you haven’t use much yet in the room. Although, I realize there aren’t any that show hats and cleats or even uniform jerseys. So maybe the rest of the room could use those instead.
